Reykholt was home of Snorri Sturluson, Iceland's greatest Saga writer, poet and historian. Today it is still one of Iceland's main historical and cultural sites.
Fosshotel Reykholt reopened on the 1st of March 2005 after extensive renovations. The hotel opened as cultural theme hotel, based on Icelandic literature, Norse Mythology and classical music.
