Their project is a tribute to the world of architecture, design and freedom. The pergola is extended from the terrace to an open garden, forming a shaded walk which protects the flowers from the summer sun. Enjoy this space and relax amongst nature during the day or in the evening with a glass of wine. Enjoy the landscape garden founded by Harriet Bourne and Jonathan Bell, who designed an annexe park and a pergola in the garden terrace. The pergola boasts great architectural features, plants and attractive pillars. Each floor of the hotel has been designed by a group of 18 international architects: Jean Nouvel, Javier Mariscal, Arata Isozaki, Richard Gluckman, Mar Newson, Norman Foster and others. .
Room information
The top floor is the VIP floor where you can find 12 exclusive suites designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel, incorporating the best equipment and the most exclusive 5-star service. Upon arrival you will be shown pictures of the rooms, so you can choose which room you would prefer to stay in, availability permitting. The originality, luxury and innovation of the rooms are evident throughout and each floor features a different design concept. The hotel contracted 18 of the most renowned architects and designers, from 13 different nationalities to design rooms across the hotel's 12 floors. .
Food & beverage
The cuisine is based on traditional Spanish dishes with an original, creative and stylish twist. Designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel, the Sky Night Bar is located on the top floor of the hotel and is the ideal spot for enjoying a drink whilst admiring stunning panoramic views over Madrid. There is also the Marmo Bar which is located on the ground floor, featuring the Carrara marble bar created by celebrated furniture designer Mark Newson. The restaurant also offers an extensive list of over 750 wines, recommended by the wine steward Juan Antonio Herrero, who in 2006 was awarded with best Sommelier in Spain at Madrid Fusion, an international summit of gastronomy. On Fridays and Saturdays you can enjoy listening to live jazz music. The hotel’s Lagrimas Negras restaurant was styled by the French designer Christian Liaigre and is run by the well-known chef José Luis Estevan. .
