Sheep Gate and Yellow Steeple are testament to Trim’s long and historic past. The castle, also known as King John’s Castle, was used at the set for the film ‘Braveheart’ starring Mel Gibson in 1994. The Millennium Bridge marks Trim’s status as a modern town and connects the centre to the Porchfields and the walks along the River Boyne.
